Characteristics of good real estate mentors

Even if everyone says that “experience is the best teacher,” there is something about a mentor that could help you take the first few steps on every endeavor that you do. Our parents are our first mentors; they held and supported us when we were still learning how to walk. Same goes with what real estate mentors do: they coach people who are beginners in real estate investing. But not only beginners need a mentor—even thriving real estate investors still have mentors to help maintain their success. One must be humble enough at all times to stop and listen on what an expert should say.

Sure, you could study on your own by reading articles online, magazines, and newspapers but if there is no one there who could explain the terms to you verbally, you would not fully understand the business. Good real estate mentors should inculcate the information to you in way that you will never forget them. They should be very creative when coaching their students because in that way, the student will want to learn more and further engage himself throughout the process of learning.  Real estate investing should be very easy to learn and understand once a mentor coaches the student effectively.

Good real estate mentors should also give inspirational pieces of advice, not just typical ones that could bore the student. It would be more effective if the mentor could treat the learning process like a father teaching his son how to ride a bike: passionate, determined, and conversational. The student-teacher relationship should have harmonious rapport to make the learning process a fun thing to do. Mentors should have unique teaching styles up their sleeve to keep the student interested. Another important characteristic good mentors should have is the capability to inspire. Mentors should serve as an inspiration to his students. They should be able to effectively drive the students to be passionate real estate investors that could generate a massive income every month. They should positively push their students to become walking millionaires by the end of each lesson. Student should be able to think of their mentors as their heroes—heroes that motivate them to be better people and entrepreneurs. A lot of real estate mentors online claim that they are the best, but it is recommendable to find that out by personally meeting them and having a feel if there would be a good student-teacher relationship between the two of you.
