What’s the best real estate book for a beginner?

I’m trying to learn about real estate investing – about buying homes, developing them, looking at pieces of land.. things like that. So I was wondering what the best book out there would be to read.

I have been a real estate Broker for 31 years. I don’t think it is possible to write a good book on that subject. Real Estate is so local and the tips would have to be very specific to the type of real estate you want to do and the exact geographic area you want to work in. Plus the advice would change within a couple of months because of the constantly changing market and financial climate.

My best advice would be to find someone doing what you want to do and working for them for a year or so- learning from them while you work.

You also will need to have a wide group of mentors that you can call on and ask questions later (I still call people after 31 years).
